PARTNERSHIP PROVIDES EXPANDED EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
 
(Wausau, WI) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) and HAAS Automation, largest manufacturer of Computer Numerical Controlled machine tools in the United States, have partnered to provide expanded educational opportunities to students through a unique training partnership.

A partnership between HAAS and NTC provides equipment for the training of NTC students in the precision machining industry. In addition, NTC has become a Haas Technology Education Center, which provides a mechanism for local manufacturers to access training and technical assistance with industry experts, using state of the art machinery, which otherwise may not be accessible.

“This partnership allows NTC access to state of the art equipment that is needed to train the future workers of our manufacturing base, which is key to help businesses in our community keep our competitive edge in manufacturing.” stated Mike Berry, Associate Dean of the NTC Technology and Trades Division.
