RENOVATIONS OFFER MORE COLLEGIATE OPPORTUNITIES IN SPENCER

(Spencer, WI) - Northcentral Technical College’s (NTC) Spencer Campus is pleased to announce the completion of a three month renovation opening two new classrooms. The new classrooms, which are part of the 1,900 square feet expansion, will allow for additional courses to be taught in person by instructors at the Spencer Campus.
“The majority of the classes offered at NTC’s Spencer Campus are conducted through ITV (interactive television) technology, which allows students to interact in real-time with instructors teaching classes at the Wausau campus,” said Randy Oaklief, Dean of NTC’s Medford and Spencer Regional Campuses. “The additional space will allow us to expand the number of courses we offer in an in-person delivery format, which is something students appreciate.”
The additional space features a retractable wall, allowing the space to be utilized as one classroom, or divided into two 950 square foot classrooms. The space is also available to the Spencer community to utilize when classes are not being held. Room reservations can be made by calling Shanna Lueth, Administrative Assistant, NTC Spencer at 715.659.5120.
“As a service to the community, we’re interested in opening this space up for local groups, businesses and organization to utilize for larger events,” said Oaklief. “Depending on the event, a small fee may be associated with using the room; however, in most cases no fee or an exchange of services could be arranged.”
A community open house will be held on February 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The campus is located at 808 North Pacific Street in Spencer. |
