This 33-hour course prepares the participant to operating/pumping and testing functions at a minimum nationally recognized level. The targeted audience is individuals who have completed the training required to meet the Fire Fighter I JPRs of NFPA 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, Chapter 5. These courses are designed to provide the Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator-Pumper candidate with the information needed to meet the job performance requirements (JPRs) in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1002, Standard for Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications, Chapters 4 and 5. *Students are required to bring an In-Service Pumper Apparatus for practical skills class dates.
