This pathway is designed for students who were previously unsuccessful in the NTC Nursing Program.

Students who are seeking readmission are required to demonstrate knowledge of previous course competencies and readiness to return to the program. Students choosing the Return to Nursing Pathway will work directly with their Academic Advisor.

About the Process

Step 1: Meet with your Academic Advisor

There are two options students may choose to complete the readmission process. These options should be discussed with your Academic Advisor.

Step 2: Successfully Complete All Requirements in the Order Listed Below

Requirements include:

  • Competency Based Testing Requirements
  • Math Exam Requirements

Additional information about each of these requirements will be provided when you meet with your Academic Advisor.

Step 3: Meet with Nursing Admissions Committee

Once you have successfully completed your chosen options, you will be given the opportunity to meet with the Nursing Admissions Committee to share your personal plan for success, situational changes that will enhance your success and discuss readmission requirements.

If granted readmission into the program, a detailed readmission plan will be created by the committee which may include required periodic meetings with tutors, faculty or other activities to aid in student success.

Please note that successful completion of the readmission requirements does not automatically grant you access back into the program. The Nursing Admissions Committee will make the final determination after the completion of the interview. The final committee decision will be sent to students approximately one week after the interview.

Readmission Progression Policy
