Online courses offer flexible learning opportunities available seven days a week, 24-hours a day. No travel is required. You may use your home computer or one at an NTC campus. Each of the six NTC campuses have computer labs that students may use to access their online courses.

All online students must have an e-mail address and basic computer skills such as using a mouse, an Internet browser, and have a fundamental understanding of how to use a computer.

Online learning requires strong independent study skills so we encourage students to take our online assessment to determine whether online learning is the right choice.

Some advanced courses have prerequisites. Please check the specific course prerequisites before you register for a class.

Some of NTC’s online courses begin at the start of the semester and must be completed by the end of the semester. Other online courses allow students to enroll anytime and are given an end date for completing the course when they register (usually 18 weeks). Learning activities are posted on the web and communication between the instructor and students takes place via e-mail.
