Federal Work Study Award Request

To apply for Federal Work Study students must be eligible to receive financial aid, to determine eligibility, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. Please note, requesting and being awarded Work Study does not guarantee you a Work Study position on campus. Jobs are competitive and require the completion of an on-line application, as well as an interview. Positions are continuously updated and can be found by following this link: Work-Study Jobs.

This form is to be used by students who wish to be awarded a Work Study Award. Once your request is received, the Financial Aid Office will award you the maximum amount of workstudy funds for which you are eligible for. If you are unsure of your total financial aid award amounts, please visit your myNTC account.

An email confirmation will be sent to you once your request is submitted. Requests will be processed within two weeks of receiving your request.  Once the workstudy award is offered, it must be accepted via your myNTC account.

Step 2.

Please check the box below for the semester(s) you wish to request a work study award. Students will be offered up to the maximum award ($3,750 if working Summer/Fall/Spring or $3,000 if working Fall/Spring) up to the maximum cost of attendance.

  • I must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester (if enrolled for the fall, you may be able to work in the summer).
  • I must be accepted to a financial aid eligible program.
  • I must be financial aid eligible.
