Admission Procedures
Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date you meet admission requirements. We advise individuals to apply as soon as possible. High school students are encouraged to apply at the completion of their junior year.
Attention Health Program Applicants: If you are interested in applying for a health program at NTC, you must attend an informational session called Pathways to Health Careers prior to submitting your application materials. Please click here for additional information.
Application for Admission
You can get an application form from NTC's Student Services office or from the guidance office at your local high school. Fill out this form and return it to the Student Services Office. A $30 application fee is charged and must accompany your completed application form. You may also submit an application online here.
Transcript of Credits
Please send all your transcripts for both high school and postsecondary school course work to the Student Services Office.
Review of Application
When we have reviewed your application and transcripts, we will send a letter detailing the next steps for you to follow. Preadmission testing is required for most programs prior to acceptance. Certain criteria may be used in lieu of testing. Program orientation is required in some programs before you can be admitted. You are encouraged to talk with a counselor in Student Services at any time to discuss your career plans.
If you have an outstanding balance (tuition, textbooks, etc.) at NTC, the balance must be paid in full prior to program admission. All application materials will be returned if the outstanding balance is not paid in full.
Acceptance
When you have met all admission requirements, you will be accepted into the career program you have chosen. If the program is filled, your name will be placed on a waiting list, and you will be notified when there is an opening.
