The school-to-career
activities and programs are designed to help students make the connection between education and employment.
The North Central Wisconsin School-to-Career Partnership is a collaboration of local school districts, Northcentral Technical College, area businesses, and district Chambers of Commerce. The programs and activities offered focus on the academic, technical and life skills deemed necessary for our youth’s future
by business and education.

Goals of the Partnership:
- Develop activities to meet workforce trends
- Enhance educational partnerships with business and industry
- Provide opportunities for students to transition between educational
institutions and the workforce
- Promote School-to-Career programs in north central Wisconsin communities

Tech Prep
Tech Prep, a federal grant program, provides funding for several of the School-to-Career activities. Components of tech prep include:
- A sequence of at least two years of secondary and at least two years
of postsecondary
education in a career pathway
- Integration of academic and vocational/technical instruction
- Work site learning experiences
- Career guidance
