What is it?
Youth Apprenticeship is a state funded one- or two-year program for high school juniors and seniors that combines academic and technical classroom instruction with a paid work experience. Youth Apprentices work a minimum of 450 hours at their YA worksite, under the guidance of a mentor, each year of their program. They take related high school or college classes to enhance their work experiences.

Who is eligible to be a Youth Apprentice?
High school juniors and seniors are eligible.
How do students apply for YA?
Midway through the sophomore or junior year, students contact their local School-to-Career
coordinators and submit applications.
