New Online Bachelor’s Degree Options Announced for NTC Students

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) in Wausau and Colorado State University – Global are proud to announce 41 new transfer guides for qualifying NTC students in Human Services, Marketing, IT, and many associate degrees going into Business Management.  NTC students will be able to enter Colorado State University – Global at junior status and earn a bachelor’s degree online in just two years.

NTC to Serve as Host Site for Leadercast

 
(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Community and business leaders can learn from the knowledge and experience of world-renowned leaders by attending Leadercast at Northcentral Technical College’s (NTC) Wausau, Antigo, Phillips, Medford and Spencer campuses on May 8, 2015, from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

NTC SEED Scholars Take Home Top Honors for Resolution Projects at Clinton Global Initiative University

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is proud to announce a successful year of international student participation at the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), hosted by the University of Miami, March 6 - 8, 2015.
 
NTC’s international scholars from the Scholarships for Education and Economic Development (SEED) program, which is administered by Georgetown University and funded by USAID, had eight students selected to participate in this year’s CGI U. Applications Sought for NTC Board Appointments

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Applications are currently being accepted for three openings on the Northcentral Technical College (NTC) Board of Trustees. The positions begin July 1, 2015 and fill a three-year term expiring on June 30, 2018.
 
State statutes require that NTC Trustees represent a cross section of the district population, as well as the various geographic regions served by NTC. Of the appointees, one must be an employer, one must be an employee and one must be a school district administrator. Both the employer and employee appointees must be from the Eastern and Western Regions of the NTC District. The school district administrator must be from the Western, Eastern or Central Region in the NTC District....

NTC Apprentices Awarded Tools of the Trade $1,000 Scholarships

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment in the construction sector will grow 2.6 percent annually between 2012 and 2022, which equates to 1.6 million new jobs. Yet a lack of qualified employees is slowing the industry’s rebound after the recession, and Associated Builders and Contractors estimates a shortage of almost 2 million skilled workers nationwide by the end of the decade.
