Northcentral Technical College Continues to Meet Needs of Local Healthcare Industry
Enhanced Admissions Processes offer Opportunities to Local Learners
(Wausau, WI) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) has closely examined its health admissions processes in an ongoing effort to best meet the needs of both learners and the healthcare industry. Initial admissions processes for all NTC health programs are now streamlined to allow students the opportunity to get started on a career in healthcare faster.
“We no longer have wait lists. By eliminating some of the initial application requirements, you can now apply to your program of choice at any time,” said Laurie Borowicz, Vice President for Student Services. “The updated application requirements will allow you to be accepted as a pre-program Health student, be eligible for financial aid and get started on your general education and petition course requirements right away.”
Health programs include Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant, Clinical Lab Technician, Radiography, Dental Hygiene, Surgical Technologist and Nursing. For information on the admissions checklists for all NTC health programs, visit

“We continue to evaluate the needs of the local healthcare industry and adjust our processes accordingly,” said Borowicz. “We want learners to know that they can get started today on a rewarding career in healthcare.”
Prospective learners can get a jump start on their program requirements through NTC’s Winterim course offerings beginning in January. General studies courses, as well as a required “Thinking Critically and Creatively” course, are offered in this condensed, flexible three week format.
