Sign LangaugeNew Partnership Creates Educational Opportunities for Sign Language Interpreter in Education Students

(Wausau, WI) - Siena Heights University, Adrian, Michigan, and Northcentral Technical College, Wausau, Wisconsin, are proud to announce an articulation agreement for the Associate degree of Sign Language Interpreter in Education to the Bachelor of Applied Science degree. The bachelor’s degree program at Siena Heights is online, and students may transfer up to 90 semester hours of credit from NTC (from their associate degree program plus other college study, college-equivalent military, corporate or professional training and/or CLEP testing) and then only have approximately 30 credits left to complete.

The BAS degree with Siena Heights University meets the 2010 mandate requiring a bachelor degree for certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). For more information please check with NTC’s transfer specialist, Xang Lee, at 715.803.1618 or email at leex@ntc.edu or visit the NTC transfer website at www.ntc.edu/transferinfo.
