Paramedic students will learn to manage emergency patient care and treatment by performing comprehensive patient assessments, using critical thinking skills, providing advanced cardiac life support, administering various medications, and performing advanced skills and interventions. The learner in this program is given several options of career and educational growth. Their skills after graduation include identifying, caring for, and treating a wide variety of medical situations that include Advanced Cardiac Life Support and pre-hospital trauma care. Students will also have the opportunity to work in a variety of environments such as fire departments, hospital emergency rooms, private ambulance services and industrial medicine. Completion of the associate degree program will both advance student skills and open new doors for students in both management and administrative positions. Must be a licensed EMT Basic to enroll in the Paramedic Technician program.
