TRIO, a program funded by the U.S. Department of Education, identifies youth and adults who meet government income requirements and/or whose parents have not graduated from college that demonstrate potential for academic success. The program provides services that enable program participants to succeed in and graduate from a postsecondary educational institution like NTC.

What services are provided?

All NTC TRIO Student Support Services programs offer the following services:

• Tutor
• Career & student activities
• Individual & academic counseling
• Peer mentoring
• Four-year college visits and seminars
• Personal development workshops and classes
• Financial grants for eligible students
• Financial assistance/scholarship application
• Support groups
