The program is designed to develop the necessary entry-level competencies for work in the air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating service industry on residential, commercial and light industrial equipment. Renewable energy applications will be applied during the program. All technical courses within this program are highly applied and hands-on oriented. Renewable energy has topped 10 percent of the total U.S. Energy area which is good news for graduates of the program. The job outlook is expected to be excellent, and according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, www.bls.gov, between 2006 and 2016, growth is expected to be 7 – 13 percent with a national average hourly wage range of $11.38 - $23.32 per hour. The 608 EPA Federal Refrigerant Handling exam will be offered at the end of each semester
