New Program Offerings for 2012-13

Virtual College
At NTC’s Virtual College, classes begin weekly and can be completed on your schedule with technology that lets you learn where you live. You set the schedule – simply login when you have time, complete assignments, communicate with your instructor and earn a degree. Virtual College offers a student centered approach to learning with a dedicated advisor committed to your success. Get started with the General Studies Certificate, which provides 21 credits of applied associate degree general studies courses in Communication, Behavioral Science, Social Science, Natural Science and Mathematics that can be applied towards your NTC Associate Degree or seamlessly transferred to other colleges and universities. human servicesHuman Services Academic Associate Degree
This track of the Human Services Associate Degree program prepares learners for the continuation of their learning to a bachelor’s degree or beyond. Upon the completion of hands-on, high quality education based on the current needs of business and industry, students may enter employment or opt to continue their learning with one of NTC’s four year college partners.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
small bizSmall Business Entrepreneurship Associate Degree
The Small Business Entrepreneurship program is designed to help small business owners and entrepreneurs develop the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to become more successful and help potential small business owners and entrepreneurs turn their dreams into reality. The program will cover the basic business skills such as accounting, managing, and marketing while focusing on those skills needed to build and grow a small business.


 

 

 

Agriculture & Sustainability

Sustainable Architecture Associate Degree
Using an integrated approach to providing learning opportunities in sustainability, NTC is now offering a Sustainable Architecture Associate Degree that incorporates energy efficiency and green principles with the Architectural Design & Technology program. Students will gain a foundation in building systems, as well as specialized training in sustainable/green building technologies, energy monitoring and auditing, building code, structural analysis, construction techniques and cost estimations.
 
 
 
 
 
 
vetVeterinary Science Associate Degree
In this program, students will gain hands-on experience at NTC’s state of the art Agricultural Center of Excellence. Studies in dairy science are combined with veterinary courses to provide a foundation for a variety of employment opportunities in veterinary science. Upon completion of the program and work experience, students will be able to take the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) exam to work in an animal research facility or veterinary clinic.
 

 

 

 

Technical & Trades

videoVideo Production Associate Degree
In this exciting new program, learners will gain a comprehensive overview of the equipment, concepts, and techniques needed to design, produce and edit effective professional video products, including the creation of 2D and 3D animation projects. The program focuses on providing students with the hands-on technical skills necessary to create professional video products and to work in a variety of audio-visual media production and post-production capacities.
