ANIMAL HUSBANDRY

Description

Applies the principles of veterinary clinical pathology. Learners demonstrate laboratory procedures including: storage, cleaning and the principles of microscopy. Learners will complete labs in parasitology, urine analysis, hematology and bacteriology as it relates to animals.

Prerequisites: 10-091-191 ANIMAL DISEASES 2, 10-091-172 MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY - VET 1, 10-091-174 VET OFFICE PROCEDURES 1 and 10-091-193 CLINICAL PRACTICES - VET 1. Condition: Accepted into the Veterinary Science Associate Degree program, or with Dean approval.
