Description
Incorporates the detailed study of mechanical power transmission system components. Included are gear, belt, chain and screw drive systems. Lab experiments include the selection, installation and maintenance of mechanical power transmission components and systems.
Pre/Corequisites: 10-804-195 COLLEGE ALGEBRA W/APPS or 10-804-118 INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA W/APPS, 10-620-157 MECHANICAL SYSTEMS 1: BASIC MACHINE COMPONENTS and 10-620-172 INDUSTRY WORKPLACE SAFETY. Condition: Enrollment in the Electromechanical Technology Associate Degree, Industrial Electronics and Maintenance Technician Technical Diploma, or Electrical Maintenance Certificate.
