This 18-hour course introduces the participant to the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform fire apparatus pumping duties for their respective fire departments. The targeted audience is individuals who expect to be appointed or have recently been appointed to driver/operator-pumper duties on their respective fire departments. These courses are designed to provide the new pumper operator with the information needed to comply with the minimum pumper operator training requirements as specified in SPS 330.08, Employment Standards, Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, Chapter SPS 330, Fire Department Safety and Health Standards.
