Examines how organizations utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to improve processes and become more efficient, responsive and effective. Learners analyze how ERP systems use a single database to integrate business transactions and processes leading to benefits such as enhanced management reporting and improved decision-making. The course will examine the core business modules of common ERP systems (Supply Chain Management, Sales/Marketing, Finance, Human Resources). Learners will investigate and compare common ERP software solution platforms. In culmination learners will illustrate how ERP systems improve planning, execution, visibility and collaboration by integrating business functional areas through an enterprise-wide information system.
