This module will explain the anatomy of the renal system and identify factors that affect urinary flow. It will review the role of nephron structure and function and identify the regulation of blood volume and osmolarity. You will learn how to identify the physical and diagnostic assessments for clients with renal disorders, explain the basic treatments for clients with alterations in the renal system, interpret laboratory diagnostics and explain the application and side effects of renal medications.
