COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY PHYSICS, INSTRUMENTATION AND IMAGING
Explore CT system principles, operation and components; CT image processing and display; CT image quality, artifact recognition and reduction. Patient radiation safety and dose reduction concepts are reviewed. This course can be taken as part of an advanced certificate. This course meets the ARRT structured educational requirement for Image Production and Safety.
Prerequisites: 10-526-147 INTRODUDCTION TO CROSS-SECTIONAL ANATOMY and 10-526-148 COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY PROCEDURES AND PROTOCOLS. Pre/Corequisites: 10-526-201 CROSS SECTIONAL PATHOLOGY and 10-526-230 CT CLINICAL. Condition: Must be accepted to the Computed Tomography Imaging Clinical Certificate or the Computed Tomography Imaging Non Clinical Certificate.
