Program Description

The Geriatric Nursing Advanced Technical Certificate is designed for the Registered Nurse or a graduate of a Nursing program (Associate Degree or Higher). Learners will explore theoretical and technological advances in the field of Gerontology. The curriculum focuses on gerontological best practices in communication, collaboration, and therapeutic interventions to support healthy aging and quality of life for older adults. Graduates will be prepared to take the Gerontological Nursing certification exam through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Nursing students with third semester standing and LPNs may enroll in individual course.
