Program Description

The Materials Specialist Certificate is designed for those who wish to enter into the materials management field or are already working in this function and want to further develop their skills to expand and advance their career outlook and enhance upward mobility. The Materials Specialist Certificate explores key characteristics of materials procedures and processes and the importance of inventory as it relates to customer satisfaction, and achievement of business objectives of efficiency, effectiveness and profitability. Learners will acquire the skills and tools necessary to apply strategic inventory management, effective information management and tracking, new applications, and Lean Principles.
