This workshop aims to equip professionals in the community with the tools they need to not only help others who are struggling with mental health and addictions, but to also help themselves through self-care and mindfulness.
This professional development day will be broken into two parts:
- AM Session – Mental Health, Save Some for Yourself – Helping yourself before you can help others by focusing on mental health, self-care, and burnout prevention
- PM Session – Giving Helpful Help – Helping others by empowering, not enabling, giving empathy and person centered customer service, and working through crisis of others can be rewarding
About the Speaker
Jeff VanVonderen is a highly sought after speaker and consultant both nationally and internationally. For over 35 years, individuals, families, and organizations have benefited from his skills and understanding in the areas of addiction, family systems, and recovery. Jeff is one of the featured interventionists on the A&E Network’s Emmy-winning documentary series Intervention. Jeff has authored various books, articles and journals, as well as been a guest on television and radio programs.

For those who register for CEUs, certificates will be provided. Social work CEUs will be available.
