Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is hosting the first annual Wood Olympics at the Wood Technology Center of Excellence in Antigo, Wisconsin. High school students interested in woodworking and learning about the forest products industry are encouraged to sign up! This exciting, one-day event builds upon traditional woodworking competition recruiting events of years past. Through this competition, students will learn about how NTC can prepare them for a rewarding career that fits their unique interests and talents. Teams of students will participate in different challenges that highlight the skills needed in industry. Competition events include woodworking, wood species and product ID, equipment ID, wood science trivia, and measurements. The Wood Olympics also includes a career fair where companies can share their story and the career opportunities they have to offer. Students compete to win possession of a traveling trophy and a victory pizza party hosted at their high school woodshop as well as tools, gift cards, NTC scholarships, and cash prizes!

Please note: we are limiting this competition to two teams per school and four people per team.
