NTC Student Life invites you to help us collectively achieve 250 hours of community service as a college-wide community! Perform acts of service from September 9-22. Then report your hours on the challenge form. Stay tuned to our social media @ntctimberwolves for progress updates over the two weeks.

Ideas for Service:

  • Collaborate with NTC’s Beta Rho Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and our SCNAVTA (Vet Tech) Club for the annual highway cleanup on Friday, September 13. Counts as 90 minutes of service per person!
  • Shop for non-perishable food items for Timberwolf Table or another food pantry. Averages 30-60 minutes per person.
  • Check out Love for Our Elders, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting loneliness with love among senior communities. Write a letter or two (or even more!) and count those minutes!
  • Donate time to your local humane society. Call in advance to determine needs and availability.
  • Contact a nursing homes and assisted living centers to arrange for a visit. Read with elders, play games, and more.
  • Visit our Campus News for a weekly updated list of high-demand volunteer opportunities and donation needs. Minutes of service vary.
  • Check out the variety of options available through United Way via their Volunteer Connection.

Bonus: If you’re a member of a NTC student club, remember to indicate your club on the challenge form for your club to receive “service” credit and earn funding for this school year!
