NTC is excited to host a brand new event this year around our Wood Science Program! Sign up for Wood Discovery Wednesdays, a two hour time slot where you can bring students to campus to learn more about the program. During their time on campus, students will experience NTC’s state-of-the-art Wood Technology Center of Excellence and will be able to:
- Gain an appreciation for what makes WOOD such a unique natural material.
- Learn why the forest products industry is important and why students are needed in this field.
- Explore different areas of the industry that interest you and how our programs can connect you to a rewarding career.
- Practice skill competitions for the Wood Olympics being held in the spring semester.
- Tour the Wood Technology Center of Excellence
*Please note that groups are limited to 30 students. If you have a group that will exceed this number, please contact Karissa Zastrow (zastrowk@ntc.edu) to discuss. Additionally, a 1:15 chaperone ratio is recommended.
Phones are also encouraged at this event for engagement activities like Kahoot.
Registration for the spring semester is now open! Please note that we need at least a two week notice to put together your experience.
