We are excited to offer two of the most popular Latin Dances, Salsa and Bachata. They are widely danced socially around the world. You can choose one dance style (Salsa or Bachata) or both dance styles.
Tuesdays, February 4, 2025 - March 18, 2025 (no class March 11)
Salsa 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Salsa is a dance style that can be learned by people of all ages, all fitness levels and backgrounds. Salsa dancing originated from the Caribbean and is lively, playful, and fun. Salsa is very popular because anyone can try it and learn it, and with some practice, everyone can master the basic steps, experience the flow, the energy, and the fun of salsa dancing. We will start from square one, with lots of review and repetition. At the end of six weeks, you will definitely be Salsa-ing, and smiling!

Bachata 8:00pm - 9:00pm
Bachata is a slower, romantic Latin dance that originated in the Dominic Republic. Bachata is a beginner-friendly dance with basic steps that are simple and straightforward. Bachata music is lovely, and the dance is known for its soft, flowing steps and gentle turns. We will start from square one, with lots of review and repetition. At the end of six weeks, you will definitely be Bachata-ing, and smiling!

Leanne Henriksen - Certified Swing & Ballroom Dance Instructor
Leanne is a retired pharmacist who has studied dancing with various coaches for 10 plus years. Her passion to spread the joy of social dancing prompted her to pursue an intensive dance instructor training program to further equip herself for teaching. She loves teaching and enjoys watching the smiles beaming from her students faces.
Cancellation Policy
An attendee must notify NTC of a cancellation prior to the beginning of the event in order to have fees removed or a refund issued. Attendees who do not attend without notifying Continuing Education will be responsible for payment of all course fees and will not be eligible for a refund.
