Tempered Glass Mosaic Workshop
Antigo Campus - March 10, 11, & 17, 2025, 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Join us for a fun and creative 3-day workshop where you'll create your very own tempered glass mosaic masterpiece! Over the course of three evenings—March 10, March 11, and March 17—you'll explore the process of combining vibrant acrylic paints with the sparkle and shine of tempered glass to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
During this hands-on class, you will start by painting a 16 x 20 or 11 x 14 substrate (your choice) with acrylic paints in a variety of beautiful colors. You’ll learn techniques to break large pieces of tempered glass, then carefully glue clear tempered glass over your acrylic painting to add depth and shimmer. The focus of this class is not on creating a perfect portrait, but on designing an abstract, colorful composition that will shine when completed.
On the final evening, March 17, your piece will be ready to grout once the glue has dried. This is where the magic happens—your artwork will truly come to life as you add the finishing touches. Let your creativity shine and show off your favorite colors under the stunning layers of shiny tempered glass.
Materials Provided:
- Substrate (16 x 20 or 11 x 14)
- Tempered glass
- Acrylic paints and brushes
- Glue
- Grout and other necessary materials
This class is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to try their hand at a new artistic medium. Come express your creativity, have fun, and leave with a dazzling tempered glass mosaic to showcase at home!
