Training Within Industry (TWI)

Training Within Industry (TWI) consists of standardized classes addressing the essential skills needed by supervisors, team leaders and anyone leading others. The progrma is composed of Job Instruction, Job Relations and Job Methods, three 'primary' classes. Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is proud to offer the first class, Job Instruction (JI), in Spring 2018. JI teaches employees to quickly learn how to do a job correctly, safely and conscientiously.

Dance of the Porcupines: Conflict Management

Do you have too much time on your hands?  With all of the pressures of modern life, few people do. In this workshop, attendees will learn how to preserve and manage their time and find ways to analyze their current use of time and specific actions that can be taken to get time back.

SkillsUSA is a national partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. This event is a regional competition for participants to showcase their skills and possibly proceed to the state competition.

This workshop will focus on how to better coach employees to higher performance. Coaching is a process of relationship building and setting goals. How well you coach is related directly to how well you are able to foster a great working relationship with your employees through understanding them and strategic goal setting and tips and strategies will be discussed during this workshop.

Putting Customers First - Customer Service Training

Customers today have nearly unlimited access to information and alternative products, and they often choose where to do business based on the level of service they receive. Putting your customers first strengthens consumer loyalty, reduces customer turnover and increases long-term sales. Respirator Fit Testing

The respirator fit testing is for any worker who is required to use a tight-fitting respirator. OSHA requires employers to fit test workers who must wear these respirators on the job and is a method used to select the right size respirator for the user. Fit testing of all negative or positive pressure tight-fitting face piece respirators is required prior to initial use, whenever a different respirator face piece is used, and at least annually thereafter.
