Part 1: Human Trafficking in Wisconsin, Myths and Realities, Rachel Monaco-Wilcox, JD, LOTUS Legal Clinic

Attendees will learn from a community presentation about the problem of human trafficking in our comunity and how to help prevent it, as well as support survivors.
 

Part 2: Debunking the Myths Surrounding Sexual Assault, Panel of Experts from Marathon County

A panel of experts will highlight common myths and factual infromation about various topics such as delayed reporting, recanting, investigating, evidence collection, interviewing victims, grooming tactics, sex offender rules, legal advocacy, and trauma informed care practices. The panel will include representation from: law enforcement, prosecutor, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, mental health therapist, Department of Corrections sex offender agent, victims rights attorney and forensic interviewer
