This workshop will provide information about the needs and behaviors of deaf children with a range of disabilities, the challenges that confront interpreters working with such children, and the ways that interpreters can adapt their services to best support these students. The education and training provided is intended to help those attending develop greater awareness of the needs of deaf students who have one or more disabilities, the skills necessary to work with these students, and greater confidence in their ability to adapt their services to optimize the communication experiences of deaf children with complex needs.
