In Leadership Development, learners apply the skills and tools necessary to fulfill a leadership role in the workplace. Each learner will: evaluate leadership skills, demonstrate leadership effectiveness, meet organizational requirements, carry out individual and group motivation strategies, implement mission, vision and goal setting, display ethical behavior, establish a personal leadership style, practice situational leadership, understand the impacts of power, facilitating employee development, coaching, managing change and effective conflict resolution.

About the Leadership Development Grant Series
This technical diploma program is intended for those who currently occupy or aspire to fill a leadership role. Learners will examine and develop leadership skills, apply the skills and tools necessary to implement and maintain a diverse work environment which understands and values the change process and develop the abilities necessary to effectively deal with organizational behavior and development. 
Individual and team activities, as well as course projects, can be tailored to reflect the needs and challenges of specific organizations and career paths. Learners within the fields of healthcare, information technology, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, etc. will find the course outcomes to be extremely relevant to success on the job.
Delivery Format
The courses in this technical diploma will be delivered in an Accelerated Hybrid format. This unique Learner Centered model will minimize the time spent in the classroom by allowing learners to also utilize the Internet to access course content. Each course will meet three-to-four times for four hours. During those face-to-face meetings, learners will leverage their work/life experience and the power of teamwork to acquire and hone their leadership skills. Additionally, instructors and learners are encouraged to maximize the individual and organizational ROI by customizing work-related assignment and course projects. The Accelerated Hybrid learning model is perfect for busy adults who want to earn college credits, but find it difficult to adhere to traditional course scheduling.
