Nursing Associate Degree via the Paramedic Bridge Pathway
Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is proud to provide a pathway option that allows individuals who have current EMT-Paramedic licensure to bridge their education and training into a Nursing Associate Degree (ADN). Both full-time and part-time options are available to meet student needs.
After applying, meeting admission requirements and completing prerequisites (which include, but are not limited to, proof of one year of paramedic work experience, a copy of state or national paramedic licensure and general studies courses), students begin Paramedic to ADN Theory/Clinical Bridge Coursework.
The following bridge coursework takes place from March - December, 2017, after which students sequence into ADN coursework during the spring 2018 semester:
• Paramedic to ADN Theory 1 (10-543-127) - 3 credits, online
• Paramedic to ADN Theory 2 (10-543-128) - 3 credits, online
• Paramedic to ADN Skills (10-543-130) - 2 credits, in-person
• Paramedic to ADN Clinical (10-543-129) - 2 credits, in-person at clinical sites within district
Under the Programs section on the application, select 2017 Spring as your semester, choose the Nursing - Associate Degree as your Academic Plan, and then select “I’m a paramedic” under Nursing Sub Categories.
