Tuesday, September 26, 2017 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Available at Wausau and Antigo, Medford and Phillips Campuses via IVC
There are many reasons to implement a sound business succession plan. Attorney Alan L. Hougum will highlight the important steps for creating and implementing a plan. Topics will include determining your business’ value, developing a business plan, picking a successor, asset protection, transition of interest at retirement and preparation for a timely settlement of a deceased owner’s estate.  The process of creating a proactive plan will aid in a smooth transition for a successful organization.

Alan grew up in Edgar, Wisconsin, just off of County Road N. He attended undergraduate school in Madison, Wisconsin, and worked as a forklift driver and a textbook salesman in Texas between semesters to pay for school. After graduating cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, Alan returned to the Wausau area and set up practice in the areas of Estate Planning and Business Law. Alan has been practicing law in the Wausau area for nearly two decades.

This training will be offered at the Wausau campus with ITV connection to the Antigo, Medford, Phillips and Spencer campuses.

This workship is offered as part of the Business Essentials Series, a partnership between Northcentral Technical College and the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce.
