Recognizing and Preventing Teen Dating Violence

October 26 1:00PM- 3:00PM NTC Center for Health Sciences Building
Creating awareness of teen dating and violence within schools and communities is a critical issue facing our youth and community as a whole.  This workshop will address the problems facing youth and strive for solutions to this growing problem. You will learn that abusive relationships are not only physical, but often begin emotionally. Further, the 8 emotional aspects to recognize and address will be discussed. This workshop will help you see how relationships, healthy and unhealthy, can look in your world.

Presenters: The Shawano-based, teen leadership club Fighting Against Abusive Relationships (FAAR).
They strive to prevent abusive relationships from happening by helping teens “see the signs before they appear.”

Who Should Attend? While this will be extremely valuable workshop for youth serving professionals, supportive adults and community partners, this is an important conversation that anyone can find value from attending.
