In Team Building and Problem Solving, learners will develop skills and apply the tools necessary to define and solve problems in an organizational setting. Additionally, learners will acquire the skills needed to accomplish individual, team, department and organizational goals. Each learner will experience the benefits and challenges of working in teams, identify and facilitate the necessary roles in a team, navigate the stages of team development, employ various approaches to creative/critical thinking and problem solving, and find ways to influence consensus and commitment.

About the Supervision Grant Series
It’s often said that making the move from, “Bud to Boss” is one of the most difficult transitions an employee will ever make. The technical diploma in Supervision has been designed for new, experienced and aspiring supervisors and managers who want to be more effective when tasked with leading others to accomplish team,  departmental and organizational goals.

The courses are specifically designed to assist learners as they relinquish much of the comradery they enjoyed with their coworkers. Additionally, the courses will help them navigate the challenges of being liaison between management’s expectations and the workforce realities.The course work will also highlight the rewards and recognition that come from assuming an exciting role in Supervision and Management.
Delivery Format
The courses in this technical diploma will be delivered in an Accelerated Hybrid format. This unique Learner Centered model will minimize the time spent in the classroom by allowing learners to also utilize the Internet to access course content. Each course will meet three-to-four times for four hours. During those face-to-face meetings, learners will leverage their work/life experience and the power of teamwork to acquire and hone their supervisory skills. Additionally, instructors and learners are encouraged to maximize the individual and organizational ROI by customizing work-related assignment and course projects. The Accelerated Hybrid learning model is perfect for busy adults who want to earn college credits, but find it difficult to adhere to traditional course scheduling.
