NTC Prepares for Campus Reopening
We are pleased to share that we will reopen the campus to employees, students and limited public and begin face-to-face operational coverage on Monday, June 15th following strict safety parameters. As the community’s college, we know you may have many questions regarding our reopening.
Will there be safety measures in place when you reopen?
Upon the campus reopening, all students, staff and guests must continue to practice social distancing, wear masks as directed, continue hand washing and monitor for COVID-19 symptoms. Please be assured that we will continue to follow CDC guidelines for routine disinfection and strict sanitation measures.
Can I take classes this summer?
Yes! Thanks to our investment and innovations in online learning, NTC is well prepared to offer students a meaningful experience and quality education remotely. We deliver our online programs with the same faculty who teach face-to-face courses on campus. To help our students and UW students continue to make progress on their degrees during these unprecedented and unpredictable times, we have transitioned the majority of our Summer 2020 courses to virtual learning. We have a variety of summer general education offerings that give students the flexibility to choose a learning mode that fits their academic style including Virtual College courses that offer the highest level of flexibility with lectures that can be viewed on your own schedule and assignments that are self-paced to hybrid courses offered through Zoom and Blackboard Collaborate that provide more structured learning with set lecture times and deadlines. More information can be found at www.ntc.edu/summer.
Can I come to campus to apply or learn more about a program/course?
Yes! We would love to connect with you. Our Admissions team will be on campus beginning on Monday, June 15th. If you prefer not to come on campus, our Career Coach team would welcome the opportunity to connect with you virtually.
Can I still apply to NTC?
Yes! We are currently accepting applications and all application fees are waived now through June 30, 2020. For more information on applying, contact our Admissions office.
Has NTC made decisions about the fall, and what classes will look like?
Our Executive Leadership Team meets weekly to plan for the 20-21 school year with a commitment to the wellbeing of our students and staff. While no official plans have been determined due to the rapidly changing nature of the local, state and national guidelines, we are optimistic that we will be able to proceed with a mix of in-person and online courses and programs for fall. We continue to pay special attention to safety protocols and have put in place strict screening measures in accordance with CDC guidelines. Upon reopening, all of our lab and classroom spaces will have processes for routine disinfection and we will follow strict sanitation and social distancing measures to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
We know you likely have many questions regarding the future of your educational journey. Please know we remain committed to getting back to business as usual as soon as we are able to. We look forward to seeing you on campus, Timberwolves!
