Spring Break Extended, Activities Canceled
The following is a past update which may contain outdated information. For all current information, please see the latest update.
The health and well-being of our campus community is our top priority; therefore, the decision has been made to extend spring break by one week to mitigate risks associated with COVID-19. Classes will resume on Monday, April 6th. This means:
- The College will be closed to students and the public beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 20th. During the two-week time period, we will be conducting thorough cleaning of all campuses. All classes, clubs, sports and all other College activities are canceled during this time.
- Any large events planned at the College in the next 30 days are canceled. All out-of-state speakers have been notified that they will not be allowed on campus.
- It is strongly recommended that employees and students postpone or cancel personal travel outside of Wisconsin. Should staff or students decide to travel, please be aware of the risks to your health. If you are returning from a Level 3 area (CDC Travel Notices), or the states of California, Washington and New York (Wisconsin DHS Memo), you are prohibited from returning to the College and must self-quarantine for 14 days, even if you do not exhibit symptoms. Please note that this list can change at any time, including while you are traveling.
- All people returning from spring break travels are required to self-monitor for any symptoms (For example: fever, cough and shortness of breath) for 14 days. If you are symptom-free, you can self-monitor and still be on campus. If you exhibit any signs of illness, you should stay home and seek medical care as necessary.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate this uncertain situation. It is difficult to anticipate every possible scenario and we will continue to communicate as updates become available. All communication and direction will be provided via email and through this site.
