Accept/Decline Your Student Loans
Accept, change, or decline your loans by logging into MyNTC, click on the Finances tab then select “View My Financial Aid,” and select the appropriate aid year to view your award.
- Click on the aid year.
- Click on the Accept/Decline button.
- Select the loan you wish to accept (you may edit the amount also).
- Click on Submit.
MPN & Loan Entrance Counseling
In order to receive your loan request, you must complete your MPN & Loan Entrance Counseling by visiting www.studentloans.gov
The MPN is a legally-binding contract between the U.S. Department of Education and a borrower. The promissory note contains the terms and conditions of the loan, including how and when the loan must be repaid.
- Go to the Master Promissory Note website.
- Choose Complete New MPN for Student Loans
- Select Subsidized / Unsubsidized and click "Continue."
The purpose of the Loan Entrance Counseling session is to inform students of their rights and obligations as Direct Loan borrowers. NTC will be notified when the Loan Entrance Counseling requirement has been met.
Loan Exit Counseling
Student loan recipients who graduate, drop below half time enrollment status, or withdraw from classes, are required to complete Loan Exit Counseling. In addition to completing this one-time session, students must complete an online form. This form is forwarded to NTC, notifying the Financial Aid Office that the Loan Exit Counseling requirement has been met.
