Dental hygienists licensed in Wisconsin must receive 12 hours of continuing education credits every two years. Of these 12 hours, 2 hours must consist of infection control training. Northcentral Technical College is pleased to offer training opportunities for dental continuing education, including fully online, self-paced infection control training.

Dental anesthesia information

Successful completion of this course, plus documentation of inferior alveolar injection at your worksite, will qualify participants to apply for a credentialing certificate to administer local anesthesia from the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.

Nitrous oxide information

This course is designed to provide instruction in Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen analgesia (N2O/O2) administration in accordance with the Wisconsin Dental Examining Board (WDEB) certification guidelines. It covers both didactic and clinical components in the monitoring and administration of nitrous oxide and advanced airway management, while also providing instruction in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and dental emergencies as they relate to the use of nitrous oxide in the dental office.
