Medication Assistant Info

Medication Assistant training provides an opportunity for Certified Nursing Assistants to develop the knowledge of standard practices related to administration of medications affecting multiple body systems and meets the state requirements for certification. Upon completion, the graduate qualifies for inclusion in the State of Wisconsin Medical Assistant Registry.

There are 116 hours of training within this course, consisting of 36 hours of classroom meetings, 40 hours of online work and a 40 hour clinical.

CNA Refresher

A Certified Nursing Assistant must work for pay at least 8 hours under the direction of a nurse to remain certified and on the State of Wisconsin CNA registry. This course is designed for those students who have lapsed on their certification and will prepare students to re-take the Wisconsin state competency evaluation for re-certification.

Medical Assistant

60 credits every 5 years with the following structure: 10 credits Administrative, 10 credits General, 10 credits Clinical, and 30 from any combination of these three categories. (AAMA requires at least 30 of the 60 points to be AAMA approved CEUs.)
