NTC offers many educational options for those looking for sign language and interpreting education opportunities. From short courses for those who would like to learn basic signing techniques to full credit options for professionals who need to maintain their license, we have the courses to meet your needs.

Northcentral Technical College is pleased to provide training for those interested in understanding the basics of American Sign Language. Courses in basic and intermediate sign will learn the fundamentals of sign language and skill development, manual alphabet and some commonly used expressions – all in a fun, relaxed learning environment.

Credit level offerings for re-licensure

NTC offers for credit courses and an annual interpreting conference to meet the continuing education needs of interpreters.

Information regarding the requirements for Educational Interpreters who hold a Department of Public Instruction (DPI) License #844 access license can be found at the Department of Public Instruction's website. Educational Interpreters who hold a Department of Public Instruction License (DPI) #844 are required to earn 6 semester credits.
