Tuition Rates

Tuition and fees are established annually (June 1 through May 30) by the Wisconsin Technical College Board.

For the current 2016-17 academic year and upcoming summer 2017 term the Wisconsin resident tuition rate is $130.35 per credit, plus a minimum $4.50 material fee and $11.50 per credit activity fee. Out-of-state resident tuition is $195.53 per credit.

The tuition rate for the upcoming fall 2017 term has not been determined by the Wisconsin Technical College Board at this time.

Student Account Summaries currently will only show a portion of fees for fall 2017 courses. Total tuition and fees will be posted to student’s account after tuition rates have been approved by the Wisconsin Technical College Board. Please call the Cashiers office at 715-803-1443 if you have any questions regarding your student account.

Additional Fees

A $10.00 per credit online course fee will be assessed for all online-Internet (I) courses. A $6.00 per semester insurance fee will be assessed to students taking at least one course which has a scheduled session on campus.

Payment Information

Students are responsible for payment of course fees and tuition for all courses in which they are enrolled. If a student chooses not to attend a class or ceases to attend class, the student will need to notify the NTC Records and Registration Office to officially drop the class and to receive a refund. The amount of refund will depend on the date the course is dropped (see our refund policy for more information).

Payment Options

You can make payments on your balance in a variety of ways. Please refer to account balances & payments for complete information.

  • Financial Aid, scholarships, or veterans benefits
  • In-person via cash, check, or credit card
  • Online via credit card or electronic check (ACH)
  • Through mail, via check sent to NTC, 1000 Campus Drive, Attn: Cashiers Office, Wausau, WI 54401

    Paying by check authorizes Northcentral Technical College to send the information from your check electronically to your bank for payment. Your account will be debited via electronic funds transfer in the amount of your check and the transaction will appear on your bank statement. Your original check will be destroyed once processed and you will not receive your cancelled check back. Please be aware that all checking transactions will remain secure, and payment by check constitutes acceptance of these terms. If someone other than you pays your bill, you must give a copy of this notice to them before the payment is sent to us.

Payment Due Dates

If you are taking less than three credits, tuition is due at the time of registration. If you are taking three or more credits, tuition is due 15 days before the first day of class or immediately upon registration if less than two weeks to the start of class.
