NTC to Host GED/HSED Graduation Ceremony

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) will host a GED/HSED Graduation Ceremony celebration at the Wausau campus on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in E101-102. The event is free and open to the public.
 
Approximately 60 students will graduate from NTC’s GED/HSED program this spring. The event will feature keynote speaker Dominic Grueztmacher, IT Faculty at NTC. Speeches will also be made by Tressie Hansen, Geraldine Vervaecke and Carrie Scheinost, all of whom have successfully completed the GED/HSED program.

$39,700 Grant Supports Student Emergency Fund at NTC

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) now has additional resources to help low-income students weather financial emergencies. Students can apply for small grants to help cover expenses just beyond their means, which allows them to quickly return focus to their academic pursuits.
 
“NTC is proud to be named a recipient of the Dash emergency grant,” said Vicki Jeppesen, Vice President of College Advancement & Executive Director of NTC Foundation. “Increasing the number of emergency funds that are available at NTC means that more students will have the opportunity to receive the financial assistance they need to earn a college degree.”

NTC Recognizes High School Students Earning College Credit at No Cost with Dual Credit Day

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Juniors and seniors across northcentral Wisconsin are earning college credits at no cost by completing Dual Credit, college-level courses taught in area high schools through a partnership with Northcentral Technical College (NTC). Dual Credit allows students to earn college credit before they graduate high school, saving time and money during their college careers. On Friday, April 29, NTC will recognize the academic achievements of these students by celebrating Dual Credit Day.

NTC Becomes GEM Certified College

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) to offer General Education Mobile (GEM) courses that will help Airmen complete the CCAF Associate in Applied Science degree in a fully flexible format.
 
Airmen can choose from 11 courses at NTC to satisfy the general education requirement for the CCAF in the discipline areas of Written Communication, Humanities, Mathematics, Oral Communication and Social Science.
