NTC Extends Admissions Hours During January, Increases Online Classes

 
(WAUSAU, Wis.) – You can work while you continue your education at Northcentral Technical College (NTC) by taking online classes this spring that allow you to set your own deadlines. Get started by dropping in to an NTC campus during extended Admissions office hours this January:

More Students Employed Before Graduation at NTC

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – More students are employed before crossing the graduation stage at Northcentral Technical College (NTC), including IT - Software Developer student, Tanner Champine. It’s no surprise that the 20-year-old will soon join the ranks of NTC alumni who have accepted job offers while finishing their final semester, since over 200 NTC graduates each year are employed before graduation. 

As an active member of NTC’s Computer Club, Champine attended an employer presentation meeting that the group hosted. It was there that Champine met leaders who worked for his future employer, Sentry Insurance.

NTC Students Aim to Raise Awareness of Food Waste Problem

 
(WAUSAU, Wis.) – As part of an Honors in Action project, a group of Northcentral Technical College (NTC) students will hold an event that aims to raise awareness of the food waste problem in our country.
 
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in rooms E101-102 at the NTC Wausau Campus.

NTC Highlights Student and Employer Success on Youth Apprenticeship Day

 
(WAUSAU, Wis.) – As Youth Apprenticeship Day is commemorated across the state of Wisconsin, Northcentral Technical College (NTC) highlights student and employer success, today. By participating in the Youth Apprenticeship (YA) program, high school students receive academic and technical instruction with mentored, paid, on-the-job learning at area businesses. The rigorous one- or two-year elective statewide program gives high school students the opportunity to make real-world connections by applying the information that they learn in class to their worksite experiences.

NTC Announces 2017 Robert C. Altman Educational Excellence Award Recipient

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2017 Robert C. Altman Educational Excellence award: Valerie Palarski, Nursing Instructor at NTC.
 
Sponsored by the NTC Foundation, the award is named after a former President of the Wisconsin Valley Trust Company and past member of the NTC Foundation Board of Directors.
