Build a Pipeline of New Employees through Youth Apprenticeship

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Finding and keeping employees can be a challenge, but Youth Apprenticeship (YA) gives you the opportunity to connect with young, professional individuals who are exploring career opportunities and seeking employment at local businesses. The Youth Apprenticeship Information Summit will be held at Northcentral Technical College’s (NTC) Wausau campus on Wednesday, August 30 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in room E101/102.

NTC Extends Admissions Hours During August

(WAUSAU, Wis.) –Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is extending Admissions office hours to help you register for classes this fall. Anyone interested in attending college at NTC is encouraged to drop in, Saturdays, during the month of August. NTC’s Wausau campus will be open on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon and regional campuses in Antigo, Medford, Phillips and Spencer will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. These extended hours are in addition to regularly scheduled Admissions hours throughout the week.

$1,500 Scholarships Provided to New Machine Tool Technics Students at NTC

(ANTIGO, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is proud to announce the continuation of a scholarship for students who begin the Machine Tool Technics program at the Antigo, Phillips and Wausau campuses this spring. The Gene Haas Scholarship provides $1,500 to new, full-time students who remain in good standing and maintain a 3.0 grade point average during the first two semesters of the two-year program. Qualifying students will receive $500 after successfully completing eight weeks of their first semester and an additional $500 during their second semester. In addition, students will also receive a $500 gift card to the NTC Campus Store for books and program-related supplies.

NTC Announces Transfer Options for Radiography Students

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) and Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) are pleased to announce two new transfer agreements for students completing NTC’s Radiography program. Through the new agreements, qualifying students will be able to earn their Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree at NTC and then continue their education at SIUC while receiving in-state tuition. Students who take advantage of the transfer opportunity can earn their Bachelor of Science (BS) in the following programs:
  • Radiological Sciences: Education Management (online)
  • Radiological Sciences: Radiation Therapy (in person, at SIUC’s campus)

NTC and UW-Eau Claire Announce Transfer Opportunity for Human Services - Academic Students

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – (Wausau, Wis.) -- Northcentral Technical College (NTC) and the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire (UWEC) are proud to announce a seamless transfer agreement for NTC students who want to continue their education. The agreement gives NTC's Human Services - Academic students the opportunity to transfer to UWEC with junior status and earn a bachelor's degree in Social Work.
Qualifying students must maintain a cumulative 2.5 grade point average and must have begun NTC's Human Services - Academic program during the fall 2017 semester or later. A total of 64 credits can be transferred from NTC to UWEC, leaving an additional 60-63 credits needed for graduation at UWEC...
