(ANTIGO, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) is proud to announce the continuation of a scholarship for students who begin the Machine Tool Technics program at the Antigo, Phillips and Wausau campuses this spring. The Gene Haas Scholarship provides $1,500 to new, full-time students who remain in good standing and maintain a 3.0 grade point average during the first two semesters of the two-year program. Qualifying students will receive $500 after successfully completing eight weeks of their first semester and an additional $500 during their second semester. In addition, students will also receive a $500 gift card to the NTC Campus Store for books and program-related supplies.

“Haas Automation generously increased this scholarship to provide even more financial support to NTC students,” said Greg Cisewski, Dean of the School of Advanced Manufacturing & Transportation at NTC. “Anyone who begins the Machine Tool Technics program at NTC’s Antigo, Phillips and Wausau campuses this spring will be eligible for the scholarship.”

The Machine Tool Technics Technical Diploma prepares learners to operate various types of manual and computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools. The program is offered at NTC’s Wausau, Antigo and Phillips campuses. Registration is currently underway and those interested are encouraged to apply now to get started this spring.
