November 18, 2014 (All day)
Event: G.A.M.E. (Gain A Meaningful Education) Day

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – More than 200 area high school students enrolled in dual credit courses at NTC will visit the Wausau campus Wednesday, November 19 (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.). Students will learn how the information technology (IT) and manufacturing dual credit courses they are currently taking at their high schools will ladder into NTC programs. Students will participate in hands-on career exploration activities at NTC and then visit area businesses to see workforce opportunities available to them after completing a degree at NTC.

Dual credit is a method for technical colleges and high schools to partner together to deliver seamless instruction to high school students, providing them with the opportunity to enroll in and complete associate degree and technical diploma course work while fulfilling high school graduation requirements. Students enroll in and complete a NTC college course which is taught by a NTC certified dual credit high school teacher at the high school.
