Automotive and Diesel Technology Students Can Transfer Through New Agreements

(WAUSAU, Wis.) – Northcentral Technical College (NTC) and Southern Illinois University Carbondale are pleased to announce two new transfer agreements for students completing NTC’s Automotive Technology and Diesel Technology programs. Through the new agreements, qualifying students will be able to earn their Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree at NTC and then continue their education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale to earn their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Automotive Technology degree while receiving in-state tuition with junior status.
 
Students completing NTC’s Automotive Technology program must earn a 2.0 grade point average while attending NTC and can transfer 59 credits, with the option of completing and transferring an additional 10 credits of general education coursework. Once accepted into Southern Illinois University Carbondale, 64 credits will be needed to earn the BS in Automotive Technology degree.
 
Students completing NTC’s Diesel Technology program must earn a 2.0 grade point average while attending NTC and can transfer 60 credits, with the option of completing and transferring an additional 10 credits of general education coursework. Once accepted into Southern Illinois University Carbondale, 64 credits will be needed to earn the BS in Automotive Technology degree.
